Fellowship Course on Strengthening the Rule of Law by Training Justice System Professionals in Human Rights

The CDH offers a Fellowship Course focused on strengthening the rule of law by training justice system professionals in human rights. Given the crucial importance of the quality of justice to which people have access, this Fellowship Course is intended to teach officials involved in legal procedures about the contents and scope of domestic and international human rights practices and standards..

The Fellowship Course offers justice system actors an opportunity to receive training in international human rights law, particularly on the general duties of the states in matters involving human rights, the principle of non-discrimination and the regulations of the Inter-American system on the right to individual freedom and due process. Officials who work in the judiciary need to be acquainted with the rationale of the international system to ensure fair trials.
